What does language immersion really mean?
Language immersion at Speak means that the entire experience during the camp is in English. You will meet Teen Anglos, native speakers of your age from all over the English-speaking world, spending all your time with them. The 1:1 ratio between native speakers and Learners allows our staff, together with Teen Anglos, to create an "English Bubble": an incredibly enjoyable and friendly environment in which to take part in the unique experience our camp offers every day.
Learn with Speak Teens
The combination of English lessons and our Language Café, with qualified native teachers and One-to-One conversation sessions with Teen Anglos is a fantastic way to develop language skills as well as the hours of practice needed to develop fluency and confidence in speaking English. Furthermore, every day, group activities and challenges with different Teen Anglos guarantee a continuous opportunity to speak English in different contexts by interacting with the many accents of the English language.
Speak Teens - All in English!
Language immersion at Speak Teens means waking up and going out for a morning walk, having breakfast with your new friends from Canada or Scotland, team activities with teens from Ireland and Australia, playing sports or relaxing by the pool with teens from England or the United States. Finally, after a night walk in the forest or a fantastic evening of outdoor cinema, you will share your room with Teen Anglos so that you spend every moment of your day in English.

What is the Anglo role?
Our Anglos are there to create a unique English-speaking summer camp for our English Learners. They have been carefully chosen to be friendly and supportive and will participate in every moment of the Speak Summer Camp experience.
Our Anglos and Learners will be engaged in fantastic linguistic and social activities, 1-to-1s and group conversations, sports and creative projects – all whilst immersing yourself in the natural beauty of our Italian camp locations.
