Live, learn and grow with native-speaking teenagers
Speak Teens is a residential English immersion summer camp in Italy for teenagers aged 10 to 17. Founded in 2018, it takes place at Valbonella, in the heart of the Casentino Forest National Park.
The defining feature is the 1:1 ratio between students and native English speakers - Teen Anglos and Speak staff combined. Lessons take place outdoors in small groups with qualified TEFL teachers; beyond the classroom, every moment of the day is shared with a Teen Anglo - meals, activities, excursions, One-to-One sessions and evening events - building real confidence in spoken English naturally.
Two camps, one English Bubble
Each camp lasts 8 days and 7 nights on a full-board basis, with exclusive use of the venue.

What a day at camp looks like
A week where English is the language you live in - from breakfast with your Anglo to the evening activity, every interaction counts.
One-to-One sessions with a Teen Anglo
Every day, every student has a dedicated session with a Teen Anglo - just the two of them, no audience, no pressure. The Anglo rotates daily, so over the week students connect with different accents and personalities from across the UK, Ireland, the US, Canada and Australia.
Activities and meals - all with Teen Anglos
Teen Anglos share every part of the day with students - sport, games, workshops, excursions and meals together. Conversations happen naturally, in English, all day long, with a different mix of accents and nationalities at every turn.
Lessons with TEFL teachers
Interactive outdoor lessons in small groups with qualified native-speaking TEFL teachers. An online Language Assessment before departure sets the entry level. In class and out of it, English is the only language.
A native-speaking companion for every moment of the day
Teen Anglos are carefully selected native-speaking teenagers aged 13 to 17, from the UK, Ireland, the US, Canada and Australia. They are the heart of the camp.
From breakfast to the evening activity, every student shares their day with a Teen Anglo - sitting together at meals, taking part in activities and excursions as a group, and connecting one-to-one in dedicated daily sessions. We select them with great care: sociable, enthusiastic and genuinely invested in making the week memorable for everyone.
Live a whole summer all in English!
Trekking, sport, astronomy, Walk with Wolves, team challenges, a full-day outdoor excursion with a High Ropes Adventure Park and, at the end of camp, the optional Cambridge English Skills Test. All in English, all together with the Teen Anglos.

What teenagers take home from camp
Language confidence is just the beginning. A week living, eating and exploring with peers from ten-plus countries leaves a mark that goes well beyond English.
Real English confidence
Speaking to a different native-speaker every day - in sessions, at meals, during activities - builds the kind of fluency that a classroom never can. By the end of the week, talking in English feels normal.
New friendships across borders
Shared adventures with teenagers from the UK, Ireland, the US, Canada and Australia create friendships that last. Many students stay in touch with their Anglos long after camp ends.
Independence and self-esteem
Living away from home, navigating a new environment and succeeding in a second language builds resilience and independence. Parents consistently notice the difference within days of their child returning.
Your child is safe, supervised and supported around the clock
A dedicated welfare team, a 1:6 staff-to-student ratio and 24-hour on-site assistance mean parents can relax while their child thrives.
Rooms are divided by age and gender, with staff sleeping in the same corridors. Phones are kept in the camp office and returned daily between 18:45 and 19:45 - enough time to check in with home, then fully reconnect with the camp. An emergency camp phone is available day and night.
Centro Turistico Valbonella, Bagno di Romagna
In the heart of the Apennino tosco-romagnolo, surrounded by nature, on the edge of the Casentino Forest National Park.
Natural and synthetic sports pitches, a swimming pool, an astronomy platform, a botanical garden, en-suite multi-bed rooms and a spacious restaurant serving the best of local cuisine. For the full duration of the camp the venue is for the exclusive use of Speak Teens.
