Speak Teens Society is an online course that takes the magic of our Summer Camp approach to learning – with native English-speaking Teachers and speakers your age - and brings these interactions online.
We believe that the best way to learn a language is to use it (and not just with your teacher and classmates!). Each programme involves two key elements:
Each morning or afternoon our qualified English teachers will lead Interactive workshops with small groups of Learners and Anglos.
Throughout the week, Learners will develop their communicative English skills, share ideas and cultural experiences whilst engaging in fun and dynamic activities.
Our Anglos are carefully selected for their enthusiasm, skills and experience and do training on how to be a good conversation partner. The Anglos are excited to share stories about their lives, their interests and learn about you.
The Anglos have different English accents, so you can improve your listening and speaking skills at the same time.
We would love to be in summer camp all year but it’s just not possible. We created Speak Teens Society so that you can continue to enjoy English and make new Anglo friends (or meet new Anglos) all year round.
Your Teacher can bring grammar to life and get you learning through games, class projects and competitions. The Anglos you meet will build your confidence in speaking to people from different countries.
Our Anglos are native-English speaking teens, who come from around the world. Many of them have joined Speak at past residential summer camps. All our Anglos are excited about their role as a language guide and helping Italian teens boost their skills and confidence with English.
Our Anglos have been carefully selected for their enthusiasm, skills and experience and have received training to engage naturally with the Learners whilst showing empathy and patience. The Anglos come from right across the English speaking world providing our Learners with exposure to a variety of accents.
All the workshops are led by our English mother tongue teachers. They have extensive experience, in classroom, summer camp and online teaching, enabling them to create a comfortable learning environment and facilitate natural communication between our Anglos and learners.
During each workshop the Anglos and learners will collaborate in small groups to complete each activity, providing not only extensive opportunity for practising social English in a natural context, but also an open environment where cultural ideas are shared.
