Six things every Teen Anglo agrees to
Before a place is confirmed, every Teen Anglo signs the Anglo Agreement — a simple document that sets out mutual expectations. These aren't restrictions; they're the things that make camp work well for everyone.
Speak only English
At camp, English is the only language spoken — always, even with other Teen Anglos. This is the core promise to our Italian students and the reason camp works.
Be an active participant
You're not an observer or a helper — you're a full member of camp life. That means joining in with activities, meals, excursions and evening programmes.
Attend the full camp
Each camp runs for 7 nights. You must stay for the whole camp; early departures affect everyone. Exceptions are only made in genuine emergencies.
Respect the community
Camp is a shared space. Treat everyone — students, staff and fellow Teen Anglos — with respect, and behave in a way that reflects well on yourself and your family.
Follow the phone policy
Phones are stored in the camp office and returned daily at 18:45 for a one-hour session. This applies to all camp members equally.
Stay on camp
Teen Anglos remain on the campsite except for organised excursions and activities. Parents and guardians are informed of all off-site programmes in advance.
The rules that keep camp safe and fun
These apply to every person on camp — Teen Anglos, Italian students and staff alike. They exist to protect everyone and to make sure the experience lives up to what families expect.
- No alcohol, smoking or vaping on or near the campsite
- No illegal substances of any kind
- Quiet hours from 23:00 — lights out for under-16s at 22:30
- No entering another person's room or sleeping area uninvited
- No leaving the site without a staff member or organised group
- Social media and photography: no photos of Italian students without explicit consent from their parents (a consent form covers this for group and camp photos)
- Any medication must be declared to staff before camp; prescription items are managed by the welfare team
How the agreement works
After an offer is made, every Teen Anglo receives the Anglo Agreement by email. It covers everything above in full. You have 7 days to read it, discuss it with your family, and sign. Your place is not confirmed until it's signed.
Receive the Agreement
Sent to your email address after a successful informal interview and a verbal offer from our team.
Read and discuss it
Go through it with a parent or guardian. If anything is unclear, contact us at teenanglos@speakinitaly.com.
Sign within 7 days
Return the signed agreement within 7 days. Unsigned agreements after this period may result in the offer being withdrawn.
Confirmation email
Once signed, you receive a Confirmation Email. You can then pay the €350 admin fee (within 14 days) and start planning your travel.
📱 Phone policy
Phones, tablets and other personal devices are handed in to the camp office each morning and returned at 18:45 every day for a one-hour session until 19:45.
- This applies to Teen Anglos and Italian students equally
- Emergency contact is always available through the camp office
- Parents can reach the emergency line at any time: +39 327 755 3233
💼 Personal items and pocket money
Camp provides accommodation, full board, activities and insurance. You'll need:
- Pocket money — we recommend a minimum of €80 for souvenirs and personal purchases on the excursion
- Appropriate clothing for warm Italian summers and outdoor activities
- Any prescription medication declared in advance
