What is the Speak Teens Summer Camp?
An English-immersion summer camp in the Italian countryside where native English-speaking teenagers — our Teen Anglos — spend a week alongside Italian learners of the same age.
There are no lessons for you to teach. You talk, play, compete, explore and eat together, and the Italian students learn English the way it works best: by living in it. Each day has One-to-One sessions, group projects, sport, excursions and themed evenings, all led by the Speak staff.
Three camps, one summer
Choose the week that suits you. Each camp runs for 8 days and 7 nights, Saturday to Saturday, full board, with the whole venue reserved for Speak Teens.
A unique social and cultural experience
Help other teens gain confidence speaking English, and come home with friends from across Italy and the English-speaking world.
One-to-One conversations
Every day you sit down with one Italian student — just the two of you, no audience, no pressure. Games, icebreakers, storytelling and real talk.
Outdoor adventure
Trekking in the Casentinesi forests, a full-day kayak excursion, astronomy nights, Walk with Wolves, sport and team challenges in the Apennines.
Friends from everywhere
Teen Anglos come from the UK, Ireland, the USA, Canada, Australia and beyond. A week of shared rooms, shared meals and shared stories.
Valbonella, Emilia-Romagna
A countryside centre in the Tuscan-Romagnol Apennines, next to the Foreste Casentinesi National Park.
Sports pitches, a swimming pool, an astronomy platform, a botanical garden, shared rooms with en-suite bathrooms and a big dining room serving local food. For the whole camp the venue is ours alone.
Friendly, chatty and up for anything
Speak is looking for Teen Anglos who are willing to get stuck in and who are friendly, chatty and sociable.
You don't need to be a teacher or speak any Italian. You need to enjoy meeting people, be happy to talk to someone whose English is still finding its feet, and want a summer that's different from any other. If that sounds like you, apply and we'll be in touch.

Teen Anglos are in the care of the Speak staff from arrival to departure, exactly like the Italian students.
Staff on site, 24 hours a day
A staff-to-participant ratio of 1:6, Welfare Coordinators available around the clock, and staff sleeping in the same corridors.
